Dedication.
To my 2 friends whose names are of the same pronounciation as these 2 mascots of Beijing Olympics 2008~

Medals for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
We do not need to have the medals to know what they look like! ^-^
Though it'd be good to have them...
The 2008 Beijing Olympic medals have two elements, gold and jade. Both signify honor and virtue in the Chinese culture.

The adopted design for the gold medal has three components in the center circle: the Beijing Olympic logo, the five Olympic rings and "Beijing 2008". The inner circle is surrounded by a ring of jade with a gold-plated rim on the outside.
The gold, silver and bronze medals carry the same design. The only difference is that the gold medal has a finer white jade, in the silver medal a slightly darker shade, and a green jade in the bronze medal.
The above information is taken from here.

China - Perfectionist or World Class Fake?

"The real singer, 7-year-old Yang Peiyi, with her chubby face and crooked baby teeth, wasn't good looking enough for the ceremony," its chief music director told state-owned Beijing Radio.
Apparently the fireworks which were supposed to be live broadcast, was pre-recorded.
LOL.

iPhone 3G + Rain = Disaster

After a few minutes in the rain the device showed a whole array of technical problems: The battery drained rapidly, the iPhone overheated, the touchscreen and the speakers malfunktioned. And that's not all: even when the cellphone was dry again the problems persisted.
