from Actress Sandra Bullock on her relationship with her chivalrous husband Jesse James.
"I've had to learn a hard lesson in that I'm not allowed to open car doors anymore."
How nice(:
Some of us women these days want to be independent in so many ways.
Top priority: Financially secured.
Unlike in the past, we are educated now.
We can earn money.
We can go shopping and pamper ourselves.
We can survive in this world and not be dependent on men for basic necessities.
We can do most things that men do.
So, do we still need men? (Other than for reproduction purposes? >.< )
I don't know...
Some men seem to think that since we can do almost everything and anything by ourselves, they don't need to pamper us anymore. They don't see the need to pay for the lady, give her flowers and shower her with gifts and attention.
As for those men who are doing all these, keep it up bro! ^-^
Though I am not sure if women still need men,
I know some of us still wants them! :D

Dance
He asked for a dance.
I took his hand and so we dance.
He led well.
All was well. (We didn't step on each other's toes.)
We could go on forever
with the music still playing.
But when will this end?
When the music stops.
Or when I let go of his hand?
I took his hand and so we dance.

Raffles Medical is a lousy clinic.
Sweeping statement. But its so true! What is the purpose of going to a clinic? To get remedy for the illness you have. But they don't have stock for certain medicine. And the doctor prescribed medicine that I cannot get from the clinic. She was not able to provide other alternatives. Not well equiped. Not professional enough.
1500- I reached the clinic. Many people. Queued to register my name.
1515- I got to register my name. Given a queue number, 147. Current number: 130.
(Went to watsons to buy something and then to Macdonalds to grab a coffee while reading my notes.)
1600- Called the clinic. Queue no. 141.
1610- Went up to clinic but missed my queue number!! @$%#@$%#$^@#$!
1630- My turn.
1640- Got out from Doctor's room.
1715- Got my medicine. (Like FINALLY.) Then the nurse asked me to wait for prescription from doctor. As they don't have stock for the medicine doctor prescribed. WTH. Asked me go pharmacy and buy.
1720- I went to Watsons they don't have it. Pharmacist told me that it was out of stock for quite some time. She ordered it again recently and the stock should come next week if it comes. (I was like "WHAT?!")
1730- I went to Guardian. They said stock should come tomorrow. But it is uncertain. I asked for rough estimation of medicine stock arrival, the pharmacist cannot confirm. (So will there be stock or not?!)
1740- Pissed. I called my mum. She asked me to go back to the Clinic and ask Doctor for alternatives.
1745- I went back to the clinic. Nurse offered to help me ask Doctor. She came back irritated saying that the Doctor already gave alternative.
Note: Doctor's prescription is Triamcinolone Lacetonide gel/paste (Kenolog/Oramedyete). Apparently, Kenolog is one option and Oramedyete is the other.
I told the nurse that the pharmacies do not have Oramedyete. Only Kenolog but out of stock. What am I supposed to do??? Then she asked me to ask the pharmacies to call other branches and transfer stock from other outlets. ARGH! Pissed!!
I paid so much to see the doctor and I can't get my ulcer medicine. Which was the whole point of my visit. Since I didn't have fever, just a huge ucler swelling. And the doctor prescribed antibiotics, pain killers and ulcer gel. I got the antibiotics and pain killers but not the gel. WTH. I felt stupid not asking for anti-inflammation tablets instead of the antibiotics the doctor prescribed. BECAUSE don't all doctors know that antibiotics are bad for immune system? Like seriously. I feel that the doctor didn't give me objective remedy. Fine. I don't study medicine. But previous visits to other doctors educated me that antibiotics are bad brings down immune system. So if can avoid taking, then don't take!
1750- I went back to both pharmacies to ask for other outlets if they have stock. Well, they need time to ask ppl to bring stock over. And for me(a sick person) to travel to IMM or Bugis to get medicine is ridiculas. HELLO? I'm sick? You think I'm so free to travel all over Singapore just to get medicine?! That is why I went to clinic so I could get medicine rrrrrrright? HELLO? HELLO??? Argh. So pissed. My mum asked me to get something off the shelf. Whatever they have for ulcers. I bought it. But got scolded from my mum for not checking with the pharmacist if I could take it with the antibiotics the doctor gave me. WTH. (So if you do, please ask and not be as stupid as me.) I'm so not taking the antibiotics.
I reached home only at around 1820ish.
Thanks for wasting my 3.5hrs! (Thats sarcasm if you don't get it.)

Roses For Rose
by James Kisner
Red roses were her favorites,
her name was also Rose.
And every year her husband sent them,
tied with pretty bows.
The year he died,
the roses were delivered to her door.
The card said, "Be my Valentine",
like all the years before.
Each year he sent her roses,
and the note would always say,
"I love you even more this year,
than last year on this day.
My love for you will always grow,
with every passing year."
She knew this was the last time
that the roses would appear.
She thought, he ordered roses
in advance before this day.
Her loving husband did not know,
that he would pass away.
He always liked to do things early,
way before the time.
Then, if he got too busy,
everything would work out fine.
She trimmed the stems,
and placed them in a very special vase.
Then, sat the vase beside the portrait
of his smiling face.
She would sit for hours,
in her husband's favorite chair.
While staring at his picture,
and the roses sitting there.
A year went by,
and it was hard to live without her mate.
With loneliness and solitude,
that had become her fate.
Then, the very hour,
as on Valentines before,
The doorbell rang,
and there were roses,
sitting by her door.
She brought the roses in,
and then just looked at them in shock.
Then, went to get the telephone,
to call the florist shop.
The owner answered, and she asked him,
if he would explain,
Why would someone do this to her,
causing her such pain?
"I know your husband passed away,
more than a year ago,"
The owner said, "I knew you'd call,
and you would want to know.
The flowers you received today,
were paid for in advance.
Your husband always planned ahead,
he left nothing to chance.
There is a standing order,
that I have on file down here,
And he has paid, well in advance,
you'll get them every year.
There also is another thing,
that I think you should know,
He wrote a special little card...
he did this years ago.
Then should ever I find out
that he's no longer here,
That's the card...that should be sent,
to you the following year."
She thanked him and hung up the phone,
her tears now flowing hard.
Her fingers shaking,
as she slowly reached to get the card.
Inside the card, she saw that he had written her a note.
Then, as she stared in total silence,
this is what he wrote...
"Hello my love,
I know it's been a year since I've been gone,
I hope it hasn't been too hard for you to overcome.
I know it must be lonely,
and the pain is very real.
For if it was the other way,
I know how I would feel.
The love we shared made everything
so beautiful in life.
I loved you more than words can say,
you were the perfect wife.
You were my friend and lover,
you fulfilled my every need.
I know it's only been a year,
but please try not to grieve.
I want you to be happy,
even when you shed your tears.
That is why the roses
will be sent to you for years.
When you get these roses,
think of all the happiness,
That we had together,
and how both of us were blessed.
I have always loved you
and I know I always will.
But, my love, you must go on,
you have some living still.
Please...try to find happiness,
while living out your days.
I know it is not easy,
but I hope you find some ways.
The roses will come every year,
and they will only stop,
When your door's not answered,
when the florist stops to knock.
He will come five times that day,
in case you have gone out.
But after his last visit,
he will know without a doubt,
To take the roses to the place,
where I've instructed him,
And place the roses where we are,
together once again."
/sigh.

God created Man.
Why?
I post that question to a friend.
"Why did God creat man?"
"So that He can love us."
(As if my friend knew I thought that answer was inadequate, he elaborated using a metaphor. Nice metaphor.)
©Loba™:
it's like u draw a picture, it looks nice
then the wind blows, it crumbles up
doesnt look that nice
but u still like it
cos YOU drew it
and its yours

Love.
Oh Lord, my Holy God. Ever so perfect, holy, just, faithful, loving and the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. You are consistent. No one can compare to you Lord.
No one.
No one.
