Why do women dress up?
Why should women dress attractive and put on make up?
Someone told me that she feels that it is unecessary.
The bible actually has 2 references as to how a lady should dress.
In 1 Peter 3:3 : "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes."
and
in 1 Timothy 2:9-10: "I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God."
Though I agree to the scriptures above, I think that in society today men or women, we have to dress appropriately for different occasions. It is like a form of respect to yourself and to the people out there. We don't have to dress in Chanel or Gucci but at least make yourself presentable and pleasant looking.
